SERFRUIT S.p.a.

The history of the company began in the far 1946 when Giovanni Servillo, father of SerFruit's owner, started to represent some producers of almonds and hazelnuts.
The first SerFruit import-export LPs. was founded in 1971. It was a small company specialized in almonds and hazelnuts trade that well soon revealed his potentiality: the number of products became wider, the represented company became suppliers and the number of costumers grew from industry to wholesale, from bakery to catering.
The success of that years was the result of an innovative strategy: the creation of a company able to dispose not only of all the products necessary to bakery, but also of a strong sale organization on the entire territory. The name SerFruit was already a landmark when, in 1984, the company became a Ltd company and the sales reached about 7 millions of euros.
In June 2000 SerFruit import-export LPs was bought from Madi Group Inc., partner of the dried fruit sector leader Madi Ventura, in order to diversify the activity in a related expanding sector: raw materials for bakeries and catering
Thanks to the acquisition of Serfruit import-export Ltd, that was renamed to Serfruit Ltd, and to a decennial know-how, Madi Group Inc. increased his activity. In 2001, after his foundation, Serfruit Ltd counted a business of about 12 millions of euros and an organization compounded of 15 people.
In 2004, with the merger between Madi Group and Serfruit Ltd, was born Serfruit Inc.
In 2005, the new warehouse in Melzo was inaugurated.
After the merger in June 2000 with Ventura Inc., and the subsequently creation of MadiVentura Inc., Madi Group Inc., the dried fruit sector leader, aimed to a diversification in a related activity: raw materials for bakeries and catering.

At this moment Serfruit Inc. holds the 50% of MadiVentura Inc.,
dried fruit wholesale sector leader and the total group sales touch 100.000.000 of euros.
